The FAQ page covers a lot of policy related questions we
get, like how to add TAs or auditing students.
Basically instructors answer to their department. We don't police courses, use of Blackboard
falls under the general technology use agreement for the university. We often get requests from chairs to enter a
course and "shadow" the instructor so they can see what they are
doing. Additionally many departments
have specific support people that are allowed access into courses. Each department also has its own requirements
for online courses and instructors and they ensure those requirements are met -
and the requirements can be very different from one to another. I hope this helps!
